Grinning when they're winning!
May 2007: A Solihull school’s football team is celebrating the perfect end to the season thanks to a local orthodontic practice.
Quality Orthodontics has kindly sponsored the Lyndon School Humanities College year 10 football team. The practice agreed the tie-up with the college as part of its commitment to supporting the local community and after being impressed by the go-ahead attitude of the school and the enthusiasm of its pupils.
Lyndon School Humanities College has over 1200 pupils aged between 11 and 16. It was awarded its specialist schools status for humanities in 2006 and has a focus on the lead subjects of English, citizenship and drama. Many of Quality Orthodontics’ clients are pupils at the school and although the practice is the Midlands’ largest specialist for adult treatment, the majority of its work is with younger people of school age.
It was definitely smiles all round when the team took delivery of full strips for its fifteen squad members plus a goal keeper’s kit and kit bag bearing the school’s emblem and sponsor’s logo paid for by Quality Orthodontics as part of the sponsorship deal. The team hopes it will help in boosting its confidence even further, with ambitions for next season building on its achievements from this one. These include having reached the finals of both the Solihull Schools Cup final and the PlayStation Cup Final held at London’s Crystal Palace.
Mark Forty, partner at Quality Orthodontics, is pleased to be supporting the team and as the kit was presented commented:
“We’ve been based in Solihull for 18 years now and it’s great to be able to work with the local community. The year 10 football team has done really well this season and we’re hoping that their new kit, courtesy of Quality Orthodontics, gives them an added boost to keep them smiling in the next school year.”
